Manual Resuscitator Use Steps

1. Connect the simple respirator, adjust the oxygen flow, and fill the oxygen storage bag with oxygen.

2. Make the patient lie on his back and level. The operator stands behind the patient's head to check whether the patient's respiratory tract is unobstructed, remove the sundries and dentures in the patient's mouth, and untie the patient's clothes button. If there is a quilt covered, open the quilt, exposing the chest, and untie the trouser belt.

3. If there is a pillow, remove the pillow, tilt the patient's head back, pull up the lower jaw, and insert the oral airway if necessary.

4. Fasten the mask to the patient's mouth and nose, press the mask tightly with the left thumb and index finger, and press the other three fingers tightly on the patient's jaw.

5. Squeeze the ventilation bag regularly with your right hand to deliver oxygen to the patient's lungs. 10-15 times/min for adults and 14-20 times/min for children.

Attention

• The mask shall not leak when fixed. The appropriate mask can be selected according to the patient's situation. At the same time, pay attention not to hurt the patient's skin and mucosa.
• Confirm whether the patient's respiratory tract is unobstructed and whether the airway is fully open.
• If the patient is breathing, squeeze the ventilation bag according to the patient's breathing law to keep pace with the patient.
• When extruding the ball airbag, the extrusion force shall be moderate, the pressure shall not be too large, and the extrusion speed shall be regular, not fast and slow.
• After using, it shall be strictly disinfected and assembled for use after the parts are dry.
