  • 1.Gravimetry is a calibration technique in which the weight of a liquid is measured on an analytical balance. However, this method will hinder frequent calibration because the calculation is time-consuming and cumbersome, especially for multi-channel instruments. Gravimetry also requires a controllable environment to work properly, because it is affected by evaporation, static electricity, and vibration, especially when measuring small volumes.


  • 2.Single dye photometric calibration measures the absorbance of the dye solution at a given wavelength to verify the liquid volume. This technique is less affected by the environment and evaporation, which makes the photometry a distinct advantage at lower volumes.


  • 3.Ratiometric photometry is another calibration method. This patented technology relies on two dyes for more precise volume measurement, especially for low volume measurement.
